"I Am Bioeng"

Learn how and why CSBE / SCGAB is important and useful for the profession and for the society according to members.

"The Canadian Society for Bioengineering has been pivotal in the development of my career, since the  time that I was an undergraduate student. During my undergraduate career, the CSBE gave me opportunity to find jobs related to my studies in engineering. As a graduate student, I presented my thesis work at CSBE meetings and met students and professionals working in related areas.

As a practicing ecological engineer, the CSBE has helped me to develop an international network of professional contacts."

Grant Clark, Ph.D., P.Eng.
Professor of Bioresource Engineering

"I have spent almost all of my professional career training more than 700 engineers at McGill University to be competent designers and good citizens of Canada or other countries in the world.  In addition I have helped several other engineering educational institutions in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and South America to develop or improve engineering educational programs.  Apart from education, I have conducted research on engineering problems at McGill and with other world institutions, and I have helped small and large industries and government agencies with their technological problems that are within my sphere of expertise.

CSBE and its predecessor CSAE have been an indispensable part of my career by virtue of the new technical information diffused at their annual conferences, journals and newsletters, as well as the many professional contacts made through meetings and committees of the Society."

"Bioresource Engineering is engineering for life. Working towards healthy and sustainable use of our resources is one of the best things an engineer can do for the future.
New global challenges require innivative solutions that our profession is a part of."
