If you will be making an oral presentation or bringing a poster, you must pre-register before March 8 (extended date) for the oral program and before April 15 (extended date) for poster program. Each registrant for the full three-day program can be responsible for up to two presentations or posters. A one-day registrant can be responsible for only one presentation. Indicate your abstract number(s) at the end of the online registration process or on the pdf registration form.

Orphan abstracts (i.e. without a responsible registrant) will be removed from the oral program after March 8 (extended date), 2010 and from the poster program after April 15 (extended date), 2010.

Below is the expected fee schedule to participate at the Congress. Fees include access to all the main Congress activities (see details below). They do not include optional pre- and post-congress options such as workshops, technical tours and historical visits. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

The fee for full program delegates includes:

  • Access at the Congress for 4 days (June 13-16)
  • Access to all plenary and simultaneous technical sessions (7 CIGR sections organized jointly with CSBE/SCGAB; IDS, WCCA, AEES and Nanotechnology Symposium)
  • Sunday evening reception
  • Lunch on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Boat cruise on St. Lawrence River on Monday evening
  • Awards Banquet on Tuesday evening**
  • Coffee breaks and poster sessions
  • Each participant will receive a paper copy of the program and the abstracts (Full papers will be available on a permanent web site after the meeting)

**The fee for students includes all the above except the Awards Banquet.

The fee for daily delegates includes:

  • Access at the Congress for 1 day (June 14, 15 or 16)
  • Access to all plenary and simultaneous technical sessions (7 CIGR sections organized jointly with CSBE/SCGAB; IDS, WCCA, AEES and Nanotechnology Symposium) on the day you registered
  • Lunch on the day you registered
  • Coffee breaks and poster sessions
  • Each participant will receive a paper copy of the program and the abstracts (Full papers will be available on a permanent web site after the meeting)
  • Note: Evening activity not included

Maximum presentations per registrant

If you will be making an oral presentation or bringing a poster, please indicate abstract numbers assigned. Each registrant for the full three-day program can be responsible for up to two presentations or posters. A one-day registrant can be responsible for one presentation. Indicate your abstract number(s) at the end of the online registration process or on the pdf registration form.

Orphan abstracts (i.e. without a responsible registrant) will be removed from the oral program after March 8, 2010 and from the poster program after April 15, 2010.

Cancellation of Participation

Registered participants who are unable to attend the Congress will be entitled to a refund of their paid fees minus a processing fee of $50 provided written notice (by email, letter or fax) is received by the congress organizers before May 15, 2010. In the case where cancellation of participation results in cancellation of a presentation already approved through the review process, an additionnal fee of $150 per paper will be charged. A receipt for publication fees in the proceedings along with a copy of the book of abstracts will be sent by mail. All refunds will be made after the Congress.

Liability and Insurance

Participants are advised to make their own personal travel and health insurance arrangements. Neither the Local Organizing Committee nor the Congress Organizers assume any responsibility for damage or injury to persons or property during the congress.

Changes

The Local Organizing Committee reserves the right to make changes to the program as deemed necessary.
