A total of 750 participants registered at the XVII^th World Congress of CIGR held in Québec City, Canada on June 13-17, 2010. The number of fully registered delegates (i.e. non-student) was 465.  The number of students registered for the entire congress was 156; several other registrants (129) were registered on a daily basis.

Fully registered delegates came from 46 different countries (a complete table is available for download).  Eleven countries were represented by ten or more delegates: Canada (84), United States (63), China (60), Japan (32), Italy (31), Brazil (24), Germany (22), Spain (16), Iran (15), Denmark (14) and France (11). Besides full delegates, students and daily delegates, 39 visitors were registered in the guest program which included a tour of historical sites and a cruise on the St. Lawrence River.  In addition, more than 30 volunteers, mostly students, helped the organizing committee; in total, about 820 people were involved in the congress.

Each participant received a Book of abstracts containing 746 papers presented in the technical program.  A pdf version of the Book of abstracts is now available free of charge for download.
