More than 900 papers and abstracts were submitted to the 17th CIGR World Congress. Each author who received an acknowledgement of acceptance of his abstract should be able to find his presentation title in the preliminary program. In general, the preliminary program reflects author preference with regards to poster or oral presentation.

The preliminary program is subject to change in the coming weeks as authors must meet two other important requirements. Pre-registration was required by February 25, 2010 to maintain a paper in the oral program, and by April 1, 2010 to maintain a paper in the poster program. There will be a slight extension of these deadlines, until March 8 for the oral program and April 15 for the poster program. The organizers must apply this pre-registration requirement strictly to ensure a high rate of presence of authors during this international conference. The early bird registration rate will also be extended for on-line registration. However, after March 8, registration rates will go up.

The other important requirement for each author is to upload your revised abstract or completed paper. Use the template available on the web site, follow the instructions and upload the Word file from your author profile. Uploading your paper will facilitate the editing of the book of abstracts and electronic proceedings. The deadline to upload papers is extended until March 8.

We are trying to respond as quickly as possible to authors and participants when they ask specific questions. We thank you for your patience as the current response time to individual requests can exceed two weeks. The local organizing committee is putting all the pieces together for an enjoyable and stimulating conference next June in Quebec City. We look forward to meeting many of you at that time.
