If your proposal has been accepted, please check the following items:
Delegates whose proposals have been accepted have been notified and sent a paper number.
Use this number on the cover sheet provided for your paper (link to template here).
Use your paper number, without spaces or hyphens, as the name of the electronic file containing your paper (e.g. CSBE08001.doc), MS Word file preferred.
Upload your paper electronically through the FTP site (see instructions below).
If you have yet to pay your registration fees, please do so immediately.
Note that the conference organizers will endeavour to run all Power point presentations. However if you include animations you must tell us and we need to receive and test your power point presentation 1 week in advance to ensure that it is compatible with the conference software systems and try to make any required changes to accommodate your needs.

A dialog box might open indicating a file error. Press OK to clear the dialog box.
In MS IExplorer you should get a 40 mm x 40 mm logo in
the top left corner of the screen
If not
in MS Windows ver 2000-Vista, IExplore ver 5 to 8 display the classic
tool bar with Files, Edit, View Favourites, Tools etc. and click on
Files
Go to the File menu

Vista users may wish to use a Free ware FTP client SmartFTP-
It is compatible with both 32 and 64 bit versions of Vista and is more
reliable but many times more complex than windows IExplorer

Deadlines:

The deadline for uploading full
paper file is June 23, 2008.
However, you will not be eligible for prize draw unless the file is
uploaded by June 15, 2008

The conference organizers would
much appreciate it if you could upload your presentation file (Powerpoint
2003 compatible or earlier version) by July
9, 2008. If this is not
possible, you may bring your file on a memory stick or CD to be loaded
and checked at the registration desk.

Student Presentation and Poster competitions criteria
The student competition is open to all students (undergraduate or graduate) in any program of study related to engineering in agricultural, food, environmental or biological systems, and to those who have graduated from such a program of study in the last 6 months.
The participant must have indicated their wish to participate in the competition to the organizing committee.
The participant must have submitted their full manuscript on or before June 23th, 2008.
The participant must give an oral presentation during one of the technical sessions at the CSBE 2008 conference in North Vancouver
Poster presentations must be printed and exhibited by the student at the AGM venue.
The presentation and manuscript will both be considered in judging, with greater emphasis placed on the presentation.
The prizes for the best three entries will be announced at the closing luncheon on Wednesday, 16th July, 2008.
